The Swedes Bar and Bistro

The Swedes Bar and Bistro opened in 2009 by Morgan Granander. Over the years the venue has become a favorite destination of a worldwide clientele.

Quality food, friendly and familiar service with a fun and lively atmosphere at the corner of Olas Altas and Púlpito streets have cemented The Swedes as a must-visit location on every trip to Puerto Vallarta. We are often the first stop on arrival for a delicious meal after a long day of travel.

In 2021, Morgan partnered with long-time friend and restaurateur Christopher Maluck to help collaborate and guide the business into its second decade. In August 2022, Morgan sold the business to Christopher.

Salmón Noruego (200 gr)
Cocinado al sartén; servido sobre espinacas a la mantequilla y puré de coliflor; bañado con salsa de estragón.
Pan-fried salmon; served on a bed of sautéed spinach with cauliflower purée; topped with tarragon sauce.
New York (280 gr)
Cocinado a la parrilla; servido con papa al horno, espinacas y champiñones; bañado en una salsa de vino tinto.
USDA choice grilled; served with baked potato, sautéed spinach and mushrooms; topped with red wine reduction.
Tornedos de Cerdo (250 gr)
Filetes envueltos con tocino; uno bañado con salsa de champiñones y otro con salsa de tamarindo; servidos con puré de camote y espárragos.
Pork tenderloin (2) wrapped with bacon, topped with mushroom and tamarind sauce, served with mashed sweet potato and asparagus.

Pay de queso con chocolate blanco, servido con mermelada artesanal de fresa.
Vegan cream-cheese whipped with white chocolate, served with strawberry marmalade.
